Dubai Police To Introduce Second NFT Collection At 2022 GITEX

Earlier in 2022, the Dubai Police released its first batch of NFT collections. According to the report, the state’s Police force is set to issue the next NFT collection.

It will release the next collection at the upcoming 2022 GITEX (Gulf Information Technology Expo) event. The event is open to those within and outside the state.

Individuals from outside Dubai will have the opportunity to get the second NFT collection from the Dubai Police. The GITEX 2022 will start on the 10th of October.

The Dubai Police Is First Government Entity To Mint NFTs

According to the news report, the Police of Dubai is ready to use the next batch of NFT collection. This is coming after the first collection grabbed the interest of over 23 million individuals.

These individuals obtained the first NFT collection. The state police believe the second collection will make a ground-breaking record.

The report added that the agency would release the next collection at the GITEX event holding in October. The Police of Dubai is the first government institution in the UAE and globally to mint NFTs.

After releasing the first batch, the enforcement agency said it had obtained requests from over 7,000 people. This had pushed the agency to consider releasing another batch.

Furthermore, Khalid Nasser Al Razooqi, Dubai’s Police AI director, stated that:

“We had contacted all participants who showed interest in the first collection. Those who had virtual wallet addresses took part in a draw. 150 persons won and were given the NFTs for free.”

Countries Outside Dubai Show Interest

Also, the director said that the second NFT batch would be open to those within and outside Dubai. They will have the opportunity to have the next NFT collection for free.

Additionally, Al Razooqi gave more insight into countries that have been following the NFT news. According to the report, the leading countries include Nigeria, the UAE, Saudi Arabia, and the United States.

All these countries account for over 589,173 views. Out of this total, about 418,693 were from Twitter and 24,282 from Facebook. Then, 146,198 came from Instagram.

Dubai has been taking giant strides in the NFT, web3, and metaverse sectors. The country has been exploring the usage of these technologies to make life easier for its people.

Meanwhile, the GITEX 2022 will start on the 10th of October and end on the 14th of October.
